Design for Six Sigma (DfSS) - design new products / services

By using DfSS you can create a robust and error-free process, which avoids repeating "repairs". During development of new products or services, customer requirements are captured and drives the development process.  In order to know if the customer's needs are met, metrics are "built" into the process.

A large number of DfSS roadmaps exists in the market. The reason for this is that the very nature of New Product or Service development differs from process improvement. A few of the roadmaps you may have encountered are:

DMADV – Define, Measure, Analyze, Design and Verify
DMADOV - Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Optimize and Verify
DCOV- Design Characterize, Optimize and Verify
IDOV – Identify, Design, Optimize and Validate
CDOC – Concept, Design, Optimize and Capability

SBTI can customize implementation of DfSS to all existing roadmaps in the market. Below you can see an example of a DMADV roadmap.

At SBTI we have long experience of being a speaking partner to senior people in different organizations responsible for development and launch of new products and services. Together we will develop both a plan how to launch DfSS inside your organization and also a training program for those people involved in your new product development process.
