An accomplished Master Black Belt with deep international experience. He has taught more than 100 Lean & Six Sigma classes across Europe, US and Asia and he has facilitated and mentored more than 50 Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen projects.

An accomplished Master Black Belt with deep international experience. He has taught more than 50 Lean & Six Sigma classes across Europe, US and Asia and he has facilitated and mentored more than 75 Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen projects. 

Personal commitment

Anders passion is working with teams and supporting them in driving performance improvements in their daily work. The epiphany people get when they see their work from a new perspective in a workshop or training session and how they improve the process together with their colleagues is what makes this work exciting.

Recent experience

Driving Lean implementation in R&D division of major German pharmaceutical company. Activities includes teaching employees in Lean approach, facilitate Kaizen workshops, Coach teams and team leads during implementation phase, supporting functional areas in implementing Lean in daily work using stand-up boards, A3’s etc.

Supporting commercial division of MSD in Europe and Asia in implementing Lean Six Sigma. Support included training of Green Belts and Black Belts, coaching of team leads through implementation and realization and working with country management teams in identifying, selecting and sponsoring projects and daily activities.

Managing process & system improvement & change implementation projects for major global automotive company. Implementation included driving change projects in 20+ countries in western and eastern Europe.

Fred Schoon

In a nutshell…

Currently, since 2011, founder of a dedicated Lean LLC and partner of SBTI. Fred has 7 years of experience as Head of Operational Excellence, Lean & Change Management at Merck,Sharp & Dohme Inc. for the EMEAC region and directed an internal consulting network of 40 professionals across 25 prime markets.

Prior to this Fred spent 15 years in Sales, Marketing and General Management positions.

Today Fred is also a part-time Lean lecturer and master trainer in Lean Management at Nyenrode Business University LEARN in the Netherlands; this center is an experiential learning facility for managers involved in Lean operations. At the center executives, managers and Lean change navigators are prepared to lead enterprise-wide Lean transformations and upgrades.

Getting the best out of organizations by closing the gap between company and customer and between strategy and implementation using Lean transformation methodology. Passionate about coaching teams to perform better and increase their share of value added activities and enjoy work-life more.

Full scale Lean implementation in the R&D division ( 2,000 FTE) of a leading German pharmaceutical firm ($8bio) 2012-2014.

Lean-Six Sigma implementation at MSD EMEAC region. Responsible for Lean Sigma in 25 markets . Headed a network of 40 internal consultants , mostly Black or Master Black Belts. Annual net contributive impact of appr. $200mio. 2008-2011.

Complete Lean roll - out, including the training of internal Lean Coaches at Cegedim - Dendrite Naarden and Aptitude / TRM to The Hague and Atlanta. 2013.

Lean lecturer and master facilitator at the Lean Education and Research Center: Banking, Insur ance, Health Care, Medical Specialists, MBA students , Alumni).
